WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) is a technology that lets you access basic information on the internet and read, write and manage your emails from your mobile phone with Infocom PhoneMail.
It can be useful because if you are out and about, you can still keep up-to-date with your e-mail via Infocom PhoneMail, browse the latest news, sport, event guides and more.
  1. Check you have a WAP enabled phone If you got a new mobile in the last year or two, it is very likely that it can be used to receive WAP services. Popular models that support WAP include: Samsung SGH-A300 and Nokia 3330, 5510, 6210, 8310 and 7110. If you are unsure whether your phone is capable of receiving WAP services you will need to ask your service provider or check the manufacturer websites.
  2. Check you have a data-enabled SIM To allow your phone to access WAP services, the SIM card in it must be data enabled. You may need to check this with your phone network operator (Celtel/MTN/UTL)
